On 28 October 2020, by a vote in the Cupertino Alliance parliament, Vishwamitra and Desert District got their observer status upgraded to full membership status. There was also a vote on Wendatia. It was rejected, with many voting in favor of expelling their observer status.
These were some of the newest full members after the Membership Reorganization Act. It instituted a new procedure to become a member. A quick overview of the act is that before the act was passed there was a simple vote for if a nation would become a member. Now a micronation has to become an observer. Then they must stay in the alliance for two weeks and be present for one session. Then they may request a vote on if they will be upgraded.
Vishwamitra passed, with a vote of twelve in favor of upgrading, one in favor to keep observer stats, one in favor of revoking the observer status. Desert District passed with seven in favor of upgrading, three in favor to keep as an observer, four in favor to revoke observer status. Wendatia stayed an observer, with two in favor of upgrading, six in favor to keep as an observer, six in favor of removing observer status. Since it was tied the votes to upgrade and the votes to keep it as an observer were combined.
